Birdsview Wins Contech Connect 2025

We take home our first international award, which recognizes our geo radar technology transforming concrete scanning.

We are honored to share that we have been awarded the top prize at the Contech Connect 2025 conference in Paris. This marks our first international award and a significant moment for our team and technology.
The event brought together leading startups, experts, and companies working at the intersection of construction and innovation. Out of applications from more than 20 countries Birdsview was chosen as the winner by a jury of industry professionals, highlighting the growing relevance of data-driven tools in construction.

About Contech Connect

Contech Connect is a European platform focused on construction technology, bringing together early-stage companies and established industry players. With support from partners such as Bouygues Construction, VINCI, Eiffage Construction, Zacua Ventures and International Contech Network the annual conference promotes solutions that address real-world challenges in the built environment.

Held on May 21, 2025, in Paris, this year’s event focused on companies working with digital tools, materials innovation, and sustainable methods for construction and infrastructure. As a selected finalist, we were invited to present our approach to structural diagnostics to a room of investors, contractors, and consultants.

What We Presented

At the core of our presentation was our concrete condition assessment technology. We combine geo radar, sensor technology, and machine learning to assess the state of concrete structures quickly and without destructive testing.
Our solution delivers accurate, location-based insights that help engineers and asset owners make informed decisions on maintenance, repair, and renovation. By offering diagnostics that integrate with existing BIM models, our technology supports efficient planning and contributes to more sustainable infrastructure management.

This recognition from Contech Connect reinforces the importance of early-stage inspection in extending the life of buildings, bridges, and other assets. With growing pressure to reduce waste and carbon emissions in the construction sector, non-invasive condition assessment is becoming an essential tool.

Media Coverage

The Norwegian media outlet Shifter covered our win in a recent article, highlighting our role in bringing new technology into an industry where innovation is often slow. The story outlines how our approach helps reduce unnecessary material use while improving the safety and lifespan of critical infrastructure.

A Symbolic Award

Alongside the recognition, the Contech Connect winner receives a trophy designed to reflect the idea of transformation — from raw material to structured form. This piece was designed using algorithmic logic and 3D printed in bio-sourced polymer.

The base of the trophy represents raw, unshaped matter, while the top is made up of clean, geometric lines. It’s meant to symbolize how creative and technical processes can turn unstructured data or material into something functional and purposeful — much like how our system interprets raw sensor input to inform infrastructure decisions.

More than just a symbolic reward, the design emphasizes structure, precision, and innovation — all values that reflect how we work at Birdsview.
