Birdsview Wins Governors Island Climate Challenge 2025

Out of a highly competitive field of global applicants for Governors Island Climate Challenge 2025, we were chosen to launch a pilot project on Governors Island, located just south of Manhattan. The project will focus on assessing and extending the lifespan of 50 historic military buildings through non-destructive, AI-powered scanning.

Our technology will play a critical role in helping city planners and preservationists make informed, data-driven decisions that support adaptive reuse and circular construction practices. This project demonstrates that by revitalizing existing infrastructure, we can significantly reduce construction waste and move closer to New York City’s zero waste goals.
